Italian equestrian manufacturer ZANDONÀ and three time Olympic Gold Medallist Andrew Hoy have launched a cooperation on the “Road to Tokyo”. ZANDONÀ will be supplying Andrew Hoy´s team of horses with boots and leg protection from their equestrian range and are working together to create an “Andrew Hoy collection”, which will launch later in the year.

‘I am delighted to have become an Ambassador for ZANDONÀ boots and leg protection. My team and I are striving to improve every day, gather new ideas, try a new approach – you need to take a step forward every day – standing still means going backwards. With this, I only ever want to use the best products for my team of horses. I don´t believe in attaching my name to a product just for the sake of a sponsorship – I have to truly believe in a product, in its quality, in its benefit for the horses and myself. Therefore I am delighted about this new partnership – ZANDONÀ offers the highest quality boots and leg protection for my team of horses – for all occasions, from Dressage, Showjumping, Cross Country to Work at home as well as Turnout. When working with my horses, I need to be sure that their legs are protected to the highest standard and – at the same time – in the most comfort.’ states Andrew Hoy.

A full set of CARBON AIR X-COUNTRY boots alongside a whole range of other boots – from the KING CARBON AIR Dressage boots to the CARBON AIR SENSITIVE+ boots for Showjumping – have been packed into the trunks for the READY STEADY TOKYO Test Event and are awaiting their exciting journey, which will start on 5th August at Frankfurt airport in Germany.

`It is wonderful for us to have Andrew Hoy on board as a Partner and Ambassador,’ says Daniele Zandonà, CEO of ZANDONÀ. ‘He has been involved in the International Eventing sport for more than 40 years, has ridden at the highest level for such a long time and trained so many horses and riders to the Olympic stage. He brings a wealth of experience with him, which is invaluable for our aim to continually strive to produce the highest quality of leg protection for horses with the best ergonomical fit, highest possible protection and at the same time comfort for the horse. We are really excited to take this to a next level and start working with Andrew on his own collection of Eventing boots – watch this space!’
